As a role member, you can initiate conversations on behalf of the role with your colleagues in the same workspace. This means the message will appear as being from the role rather than from an individual. The recipient will still see who has sent the message but it will show as being sent from the role.
- From your Inbox, tap on the new chat icon ( ) at the bottom-right of your screen. The 'New Chat' screen will open.
- On the top of the 'New Chat' screen, you will find your name with a drop-down.
- Tapping the dropdown will open the list of accounts you can use to send messages from. This includes your personal account and the roles that you are part of. Select the Role you wish to send a message from.
- Once selected, you can find the colleague you want to message using the role account.
- From your Inbox, tap on the new chat icon ( )top-right of your screen. The 'New Chat' screen will open.

- Once selected, you can find the colleague you want to message using the role account.
- Click on the Roles tab from the navigation at the top of your screen.
Note: If you only have one role, clicking the tab will only open that role. However, for multiple roles, you will see a drop-down from the navigation where you can select the role you want to open. - Once you open the role, you will find 'New Chat' at the top of your role inbox.
- Click on 'New Chat' and select a colleague to message.
Additional info
- All role messages can be viewed from the role tab. This includes role messages initiated by a role member.
- Roles can only create a new chat with colleagues in the same workspace.
- Currently, roles cannot create a group or a case.
