Enabling Notifications

To enable notifications on Celo, follow these steps on your platform:

Do not open Celo.
Find and open your device's Settings .
Search for and select Apps.
Find and select the Celo app.
Press Notifications.
Ensure that Show Notifications is turned on.

Do not open Celo.
Find and open your device's Settings.
Press Notifications.
Find and select Celo.
Ensure that Allow Notifications is toggled On.

Open Google Chrome.
Press to the right of the address bar.
Find and press Settings to open the Settings page.
Find Site Settings by using the search bar at the top of the page.
Look for Notifications.
Under the Allow List header, check to see if Celo is already present.
- If it is not present,
  1. press Add and paste in the following URL into the pop-up menu: "https://app.celohealth.com:443".
- If it is already present,
  1. Remove it by pressing to the right, then press Remove.
  2. Visit the web app and press the Allow button on the notifications pop-up.

Open Microsoft Edge.
Press the ellipses icon to the right of the address bar.
Press Settings.
Search for "notifications" in the Search bar.
Under the Allow List header, check to see if Celo is already present.
- If it is not present,
  1. press Add and paste in the following URL into the pop-up menu: "https://app.celohealth.com:443".
- If it is already present, turn it off and back on again.
  1. Remove it by pressing to the right, then press Remove.
  2. Visit the web app and press the Allow button on the notifications pop-up.

Previewing Messages in Notifications

This article applies only to the Android and iOS versions of Celo.

Enabling preview notifications allows a preview of new messages to be shown on screen without opening the Celo app itself.

Privacy Concerns

Anyone who happens to be looking at your device when you receive a message will be able to read the preview as well. We do not recommend doing this for shared devices.

If you enable this setting, we recommend that a PIN be set up on your device, and for Celo notifications to be hidden while the device is locked. Otherwise, messages containing sensitive information may also appear while your device is locked.

Tap on your Profile Picture in the top left.
Open Notifications.
Toggle Enable preview Notifications.
Press Agree on the pop-up warning that appears.

Customising the Celo Notification Sound

This article applies only to the Android and iOS versions of Celo.

Tap on your Profile Picture in the top left.
Open Notifications.
Press Notification Sound.
Press a sound from the list that appears. Pressing a sound makes it play.
